SOFIAA Pop-Up Menopause Clinic

A joyful SOFIAA Health pop‑up menopause clinic at the Living Centre, King’s Cross – and a powerful reminder of what community care looks like in real life.

We were honoured to join other organisations supporting the local community, from domestic‑violence services to free women‑only exercise classes and teenage mental‑health providers.

It was a full and meaningful day for our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Yvonne Chang, our SOFIAA team, and volunteer Zahra Bassiri. Together, we offered: •Medical consultations with Dr Yvonne • Simple weight‑bearing exercises people can safely do at home • Protein‑rich cans of beans and the recipe for our SOFIAA Stew.

We were especially grateful that our key stakeholders, Jane Finlayson-Brown, Global Co-Head of Digital, Data, IP and Technology at A&O Shearman, and Femi Macaulay, Non-Executive Director at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust and Chair of the Board of Trustee, Linacre College, University of Oxford, took the time in his personal capacity to visit and see firsthand what we do. With great thanks to A&O Shearman for providing pro bono legal support.

In a world of sleek marketing and deepfakes, one of our founding principles remains simple and unwavering: Experience, then believe.

International Women’s Day Mini Conference. Beyond Barriers: Women Building Power, Purpose & Progress

SOFIAA Health’s Chief Scientific Officer, Dr Hannah Nazri, continues to demonstrate the depth of her leadership in women’s health through her participation in the Women Who Impact: Beyond Barriers event at Oxford.

As an NHS obstetrics and gynaecology doctor, academic, and global advocate, Dr Nazri brings a rare combination of scientific rigour, clinical insight, and policy experience to every platform she steps onto. At this event, she joins a panel of women shaping medicine, academia, and corporate leadership, offering honest reflections on navigating environments not designed with women in mind.

Her work on endometriosis, diagnostic equity, and ending harmful practices such as FGM/C directly strengthens SOFIAA’s scientific foundations. By engaging with young women, entrepreneurs, and future leaders, she ensures that SOFIAA’s mission remains grounded in evidence, advocacy, and lived experience.

Dr Nazri’s presence at this event is more than representation — it is an extension of her commitment to building a world where women’s health is understood, prioritised, and protected. Her leadership helps ensure that SOFIAA’s AI‑driven solutions are not only scientifically robust but also socially conscious and globally relevant.

Paris Fashion Week

SOFIAA Health continues to set itself apart in a FemTech landscape dominated by purely digital apps. While many competitors operate only online, SOFIAA Health delivers two real‑world, high‑impact solutions alongside our AI platform: menopause pop‑up clinics and corporate wellness programmes.

These on‑the‑ground touchpoints give us something rare in digital health: direct clinical insight, real‑world behavioural data, and deep cultural understanding of the women we serve.

To push our product development even further, our management team took a self‑funded trip to Paris Fashion Week — not for the glamour, but to understand the future of women’s wearables. At Tranoï, we attended a lecture on the trends shaping next‑season innovation: emotional connection, health integration, and strong environmental stewardship.

These themes align perfectly with SOFIAA’s mission to build technology and products that are safe, inclusive, and genuinely life‑enhancing for women in midlife.

Home Grown Club – The Midlife Upgrade Fireside Chat

SOFIAA Health proudly serves two very distinct — yet equally important — demographics.

❤️ Our heart is in the community. We run menopause pop‑up clinics in community centres and GP surgeries for minority ethnic women from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Many have limited access to higher education and digital tools, yet face some of the greatest health inequalities. Through these clinics — and through SOFIAA, our AI companion designed specifically for women with limited English proficiency — we bring care to them, improving access, confidence, and digital literacy.

🧠 Our head is in the corporate world. We also work with professionals who have limited time and little education on midlife health, helping them understand and navigate menopause with clarity and confidence. This dual approach allows us to bridge two worlds that rarely meet — and to raise the standard of women’s health for all.

Last week, it was a pleasure to bring this conversation to Home Grown, the private members’ club for entrepreneurs and investors within the Home House Group. Hosted by SOFIAA Founder & CEO Dr Jacqueline Koay and Chief Medical Officer Dr Yvonne Chang, and supported by two brilliant male sporting panellists — Phil Glenister and Jeff Green — the discussion was lively, warm, and full of insight.

A special thank you to Yalda Tea for the beautiful Persian tea that fuelled the evening.

SOFIAA Health stands at the intersection of community care and corporate education — and we are just getting started.

Women Who Impact: Investing with Intent

Women Who Impact: Investing with Intent — an inspiring and eye‑opening event hosted by Zühlke Group.

SOFIAA Founder & CEO Dr Jacqueline Koay and Chief Medical Officer Dr Yvonne Chang attended this powerful session to learn from – and connect with -women who are reshaping the landscape of financial empowerment.

Women continue to lag behind men when it comes to investing, yet investment is one of the most important pathways to financial independence, security, and long‑term resilience.

The brilliant panel – Angela Bishop, Emma Tilt, Yasmine ElMehairy, and Sarah Williams-Gardener OBE – delivered a clear message: start investing, even with as little as £50, and make use of the free advice available.

Small steps compound into life‑changing outcomes. At SOFIAA, this conversation resonated deeply.

We work with ethnic‑minority women from lower socioeconomic backgrounds — many of whom face profound structural barriers:

  • limited access to higher education
  • limited digital literacy
  • no personal bank account
  • reliance on husbands for basic household money
  • vulnerability to financial control and domestic abuse

For too many women, money has been weaponised against them.

We are committed to exploring how SOFIAA can support these women on their investment journey — starting with a seed investment of £20 to help them take their first step toward financial autonomy.

  • Empowerment begins with knowledge.
  • Independence begins with access.
  • And change begins when women invest in themselves — and when we invest in each other.

If you are a corporate who would like to partner with us to deliver this life-changing initiative, please drop us a line at hello@SOFIAA.com

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS | SOFIAA HEALTH

As part of her role as Chief Medical Officer of SOFIAA Health, Dr. Yvonne Chang continues to strengthen meaningful relationships across local communities—supporting inclusive, culturally sensitive health initiatives for both women and men.

This week, Dr. Chang had the pleasure of networking and connecting with the Organisation of Ukrainian Women in Coventry, alongside community leaders and distinguished guests, in a celebration of cultural unity and shared purpose.

These conversations form an important part of SOFIAA Health’s ongoing work to develop and deliver impactful women’s and men’s health projects, ensuring that support, education, and access to health resources reach communities in ways that are trusted, respectful, and effective.
